What we collect
We don't have accounts, sign-up forms or comments, and we don't ask for your name, email or vehicle details.
Like most websites, our web server automatically records standard logs when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, the page that linked to it and the time. We use these logs only to run the site and protect it from abuse, and keep them for a limited time.
Code search
The code search runs in your browser: what you type is not sent to us or anyone else. If JavaScript is turned off, the search form instead loads our code list page with your search in the address, which appears in the server logs described above.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this page before it happens.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it deleted or to object to how it's used. Because we don't collect personal information ourselves, we usually can't link a request to you, but we will help where we can. Contact us at the address below.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

We link to sources such as NHTSA and OBDex. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
